LETS GOOO! Off to a good start with the weight loss journey.

It’s been roughly a week and I’ve lost 5 lbs off of drinking more water and eating loads healthier. Typically two pounds is the healthy amount of weight to lose but as bad as I was stress eating the 5 pound drop is not surprising. It’s definitely motivating to be seeing results already. However I do understand that from here on out i won’t lose weight nearly as fast. But steady progress is always welcome and I know the leveling off point is on its way so when it happens there are no surprises.

I’ve been working out for the past month at 5:30 am or if I had to get to work early I would do so around 9:00 pm. As of right now I’m limiting myself to the gym in my apartment. Once I want to incorporate more in to my workout I’ll be going to the Powerhouse gym near my job since it’s free.

I also come down here for the A/C since i only have a fan :/

My workout routine to goes something on the lines of:

Day 1: 8 min elliptical warm up; weight routine; 25 mins on Bike

Day 2: Dance/Cardio day. 8 min elliptical warm up; stretch; dance (house dancing- YouTube it if you’re unfamiliar)

Day 3: 8 min elliptical warm up; weight routine; 25 mins on Bike

Day 4: Dance/Cardio day. 8 min elliptical warm up; stretch; dance (house dancing- YouTube it if you’re unfamiliar)

Day 5: 8 min elliptical warm up; weight routine; 25 mins on Bike

Day 6: Dance/Cardio day. 8 min elliptical warm up; stretch; dance (house dancing- YouTube it if you’re unfamiliar)

Day 7: Rest/Long walk day

My weight routine only consists of my body weight and Dumbbells. With Dumbbells I do shoulder presses, squats, rows, bench press, medicine ball slams/throws and pull ups.

As I progress with workouts I plan on warming up all the same except I’m going to do half of the insanity workout instead of the bike. From what I’ve experienced in the past and researched gaining muscle and doing HIIT don’t mix very well. But I read if you don’t over exert yourself during HIIT training it can be a faster weigh to kill chub while maintaining gains. I’ll be sure to keep everyone posted. Question of the day: what are weight loss/fitness goals you have for yourself short or long term? Peace.

Got to stay focused!
